PROCESS ENGINEER
(RUBBER INJECTION MOLDING)
HOGANSVILLE, GA area

DUTIES:
Develop rubber molding processes for new products.
Assess the feasibility of new production compounds concentrating on their capability of performing to the customer specification and their ease of manufacturing.
Recommend changes to the formulation of the compound when the compound does not perform as expected.
Maintain the preproduction study system and quality system compliance responsibility
Design, and have performed, projects that have been identified as needed.
Resolve potential processing problems uncovered during preproduction study
Complete preproduction studies in a timely manner in coordination with customer timing and Project manager's requirements
Study and propose productivity, quality and process improvements
Audit and implement improvements for process controls
Support Kaizen (continuous improvement) activities, marketing and production planning
Pursue and obtain Six Sigma Green Belt status and use these skills in their daily activities
Research alternative production methods and equipment
Audit and implement improvements for process controls
Prepare monthly data (graphs, etc.)

MUSTS:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
2 or more years experience with injection or compression rubber molding required.
Knowledge of manufacturing process, PLC controls, hydraulics, pneumatics and user knowledge of personal computers
Knowledge of rubber chemistry is preferred
3-5 years employment within elastomer molding industry preferred
Ability to measure cycle time, modify machine functions to meet specific item requirements, develop new machine process functions, troubleshoot and countermeasure both machinery and process problems and apply the Kaizen / Six Sigma mindset to the production process
Good verbal and written communication skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
