Director of Emergency Services
Currently seeking a Director of Emergency Services south of Atlanta, GA.
The ideal candidate assumes the administrative responsibility of all functions in the department on a 24-hour basis.
The responsibilities of the Director of Emergency Services include:
Functions in an advanced nursing leadership role and exemplifies the behaviors of both a leader and professional role model as the person who is accountable for the provision of care, treatment, and services.
Accountable for continuously monitoring and evaluating the standards of nursing care provided in his/her assigned clinical area.
The Director is accountable for achieving Health System metrics related to Finance, Quality, Growth, Community, People, and Service.
The Director is accountable for the accomplishment of applicable projects and elements of the Health System strategic plan.
Requirements of the Director of Emergency Services:
Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia BSN, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or other healthcare/ business related Master's degree preferred A minimum of 12 months experience as a Manager, ED experience preferred.
Cognitive and technical knowledge and the ability to lead care delivery across the continuum of care.
The ability to retrieve, communicate, and present data and information both verbally and in writing required.
Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification desired.
Lean Six Sigma Healthcare certification preferred.
Requires working under stressful conditions at times or working irregular hours.
May be required to work rotating shifts.
Moderate to loud noise environment.
Exposure to body fluids.
Exposure to infectious diseases.
Must be able to interact calmly with complex patient and family issues.
